Editorial Policy

Dividend Calculator publishes calculators, data pages, and educational guides for income investors. This page explains where our information comes from, how it is reviewed and updated, how we handle corrections, and how the site is funded.

Editorial standards

  • Content is written to be plain-spoken, educational, and anchored in the math behind each projection rather than in hype. We do not promise returns, recommend specific securities, or provide individualized financial advice.
  • Every projection is generated by deterministic models driven by the inputs shown on the page. Assumptions are stated next to results so you can judge them.
  • Claims are sourced. Where a figure or ranking is used, it comes from a data source or filing listed below.

Sources and data

  • Market and dividend data — Yahoo Finance, accessed through a cached pipeline. Prices, yields, and distribution history refresh daily.
  • Fund and company details — issuer fact sheets, prospectuses, and company filings for expense ratios, inception dates, payout policies, sectors, and strategy descriptions.
  • Timestamps — data-driven pages show an “as of” date. When live data cannot be refreshed, the page falls back to the last verified figures and is excluded from search indexing until data is fresh again.

Review and updates

  • Calculator inputs and data pages are refreshed automatically through the data pipeline.
  • Articles are reviewed periodically and whenever a material error is reported. Articles show a published date, and an updated date when the content changes materially.
  • When a fund changes its distribution policy or a company cuts its dividend, affected pages are updated as part of the next data refresh.

Corrections

Report errors to dividend-calculator@proton.me with the page URL and a description. Corrections are typically reviewed within five business days; when a correction changes an article materially, the updated date is revised. Our full contact details are on the contact page.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure

  • The site displays third-party advertising, including Google AdSense.
  • Some outbound links to brokers are affiliate links. If you open an account through them, the site may earn a commission at no cost to you.
  • Advertising and affiliate relationships never influence which funds, stocks, or strategies we cover, how pages are ranked, or the results calculators produce. Projections are computed from your inputs and market data only.
