Dividend Calculator is a free, no-signup set of tools for income investors. It projects dividend income and compound growth, models the path to financial independence, and answers the question every dividend investor starts with: how much capital do I need for the income I want?

How the calculators work
Every projection is a year-by-year deterministic model driven entirely by the inputs you provide: investment amount, contributions, yield, dividend growth, price appreciation, tax rate, and reinvestment. Nothing is hidden — the assumptions used for a projection are shown next to it, and you can change any of them. Results are estimates, not forecasts.
For fund and stock pages, the calculator is pre-filled with the holding's current yield and payout frequency so the starting point reflects real data rather than a generic default.
Where the data comes from
- Market data, dividend yields, and distribution history come from Yahoo Finance through a cached data pipeline that refreshes daily.
- Fund and company details such as expense ratios, inception dates, sectors, and strategy summaries come from issuer fact sheets and company filings.
- Every data-driven page shows an “as of” date so you can see how current the figures are. If live data cannot be refreshed, pages fall back to the last verified figures and are excluded from search indexing until the data is fresh again.
Rare data problems — a delisted ticker, a stale fund figure — are exactly the kind of thing we want to hear about. Email dividend-calculator@proton.me and we will review it.
